Nicholas J. Rimmer graduated with a Juris Doctorate from the University of New Mexico School of Law and was admitted to the State Bar of New Mexico in 2011. While in law school he was on the Honor Roll and worked for the American Civil Liberties Union of New Mexico. Mr. Rimmer is licensed to practice in all New Mexico State Courts and the United Stated District Court for the District of New Mexico.
Prior to his employment with Chapman and Priest, P.C. he was in-house counsel for the third-largest property and casualty insurer in the United States. Mr. Rimmer has represented individual and corporate clients in commercial and complex litigation throughout New Mexico. He has successfully defended clients against automobile liability, premises liability, fraud, consumer products liability, firearm negligence, construction defect, and general insurance defense litigation. Mr. Rimmer enjoys jury trials and has served as first-chair on jury trials in Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and Las Cruces.
Mr. Rimmer is a member of the New Mexico Defense Lawyers Association and The Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy Studies. He is a bibliophile, who in his spare time can be found reading and curating his rare book collection.
