- Renee Mascareñas is a native New Mexican, graduating from New Mexico Highlands University with a Bachelor of Business Administration, with a concentration in Marketing. Ms. Mascareñas received her Juris Doctor from Arizona Summit in December 2012, where she was an active member of Phi Alpha Delta serving as the Clerk for her chapter. After graduation, Ms. Mascareñas was admitted to practice by the State Bar of New Mexico in the Spring of 2013.
Before transitioning into civil litigation, Ms. Mascareñas was an Assistant District Attorney for the Second Judicial District Attorney’s Office. Ms. Mascareñas served at the HEART prosecutor while in the Metropolitan Court Division before moving to the Crimes Against Children Division.
Ms. Mascareñas is admitted to practice in the State of New Mexico and the Federal District Court for the District of New Mexico. Ms. Mascareñas has experience working directly for a top national insurance carrier defending the carrier and its insureds. In addition, she has also worked for a national and local firms. Ms. Mascareñas has defended both individual and corporate clients in a wide variety of cases. She has tried jury cases in both criminal and civil cases in Bernalillo, Santa Fe, Valencia and Sandoval Counties. Ms. Mascareñas’ practice areas include general civil liability, insurance defense, and medical malpractice.
In her spare time, Ms. Mascareñas can be found working with her hands, woodworking to build furniture and learning how to weld for fun.
